Robert Henk
Mr. Henk is a founding partner of HENK LEONARD and is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of Law. His practice includes State and Federal Courts within, as well as outside, of California. Mr. Henk has successfully argued employment matters before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and has tried employment matters to juries throughout California. Mr. Henk has lectured on most employment issues including, Wage and Hour Compliance, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Sexual harassment/Hostile work environment and litigation avoidance. He has coached many mock trial teams for Loretto High School in a nationally acclaimed program.
Mr. Henk is a past Legislative Chair of the Sacramento Employment Advisory Council and a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association as well as the California Employment Lawyers Association. In addition to being admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts of California, Mr. Henk has been admitted to practice in New Jersey and Tennessee on a pro-hac vice basis.
Sheri Leonard
Ms. Leonard is a founding partner in the law office of HENK LEONARD, whose practice emphasizes the representation of employees in employment matters including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, workplace torts, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related claims in both State and Federal courts. Ms. Leonard is a present member of the California Employment Lawyer Association.
Ms. Leonard's experience includes performing all work necessary for litigation including trials, appeals, arbitrations, mediations, depositions, and various motions. Ms. Leonard has successfully argued before the Third District Court of Appeals. She has also successfully opposed several dispositive motions against large employers, including but not limited to Nationwide Credit, The Money Store, Sutter General Hospital, Hewlett-Packard, California Highway Patrol, American Health Care, Regional Transit, and the County of Sacramento.
Ms. Leonard received her B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management in 1989 and a Masters degree in Business Administration in 1991 from California State University, Sacramento. Ms. Leonard received her J.D. from McGeorge School of Law in 1994. She became a member of the California State Bar in 1994, and was thereafter admitted to practice in California and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court (Eastern, Central, and Northern Districts of California).
